KPMG/MPI Emerging Professional Scholarship

For the first time, KPMG, a leading professional services firm and Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the world’s largest meeting and events professional association, are joining to launch a new scholarship to acknowledge three stand-out aspiring events professionals. The KPMG/MPI Emerging Professional Scholarship Award will recognize three university students who have exemplified significant promise for a successful events and meetings industry career.

Eligible students are:

  • Enlisted in a valid four-year U.S.-based degree program
  • Beginning second year of course work in Fall 2020
  • Passionate about prospective career opportunities in the events and meetings industry
  • Involved in university extracurricular activities such as government associations, clubs, or community service

Award recognition includes:

  • Student scholarships:
    • First place: $2,000 toward tuition
    • Second place: $1,000 toward tuition
    • Third place: $500 toward tuition
  • Complimentary MPI student membership
  • Opportunities to network and have an exploratory career discussion or Q&A with KPMG Events & Meetings team members and MPI members.*

Scholarship Timing

Interested and eligible students are invited to complete the scholarship application and complete the brief essay questions.

Submissions will be accepted starting Monday, April 20 through Friday, May 22, 2020. Scholarship awardees will be announced in June 2020.

*While awardees will be positively considered when opportunities open on the KPMG Events & Meetings team, receiving this scholarship does no guarantee a full-time role or internship.
