What has been the biggest challenge in your career?
Work on a restructuring of the company, transforming face-to-face events into virtual events and with this, reduce the internal operating cost by more than 70%, obtaining a balance within the company in order to continue to remain in the market and succeed, especially in these times of pandemic, in which we need to have strategies to overcome all the obstacles that arise.
What is the biggest challenge facing our industry today and what should we do about it?
Work on the trust of clients, that they understand that our meeting industry is safe and that they can invest again in their events.
Reinforce biosafety protocols and carry them out in daily life.
Show clients that our priority is to take care of their health and avoid risks during events.
What are you most passionate about outside of your career and the meeting industry?
Contact sports and teamwork.
I believe that teamwork allows us to always go very far, reaching our goals and heading towards a common goal.
What’s the best advice someone gave you?
There is no crisis that supports a double working day.
Everything can be solved if we work hard on what we believe in.
Never give up and fight for what we want, overcome any obstacle that is put in front of us.
What advice would you give to someone considering to volunteer?
Give your 2.54 (inch) grain of sand to contribute to the professionalization of the meeting industry.
That they always look for the way to do things well, be persistent to achieve everything that is desired and above all learn to work as a team.
