New Educational Event for EU Planners

By Michael Pinchera | Oct 4, 2019

The MPI Academy’s first-ever European Education Exchange takes place Oct. 22-23 in Helsingør, Denmark—and there’s still time to register!

Participating planners will experience executive education over two days at Konventum, an IACC-member hotel and conference center on the beautiful Øresund coast, about 40 minutes north of Copenhagen. This event has been created with a specific focus on the needs of European meeting professionals—it’s essentially by Europeans, for Europeans.

During the European Education Exchange, planners will choose between two different MPI certificate courses—Meeting & Event Strategist or Women in Leadership (a €350 value)—and meet with industry suppliers via one-on-one speed networking opportunities.

To make the experience as seamless as possible, qualified planners will also receive accommodations at Konventum and transportation credit to/from the event (up to €250 for airfare and up to €25 for train fare, as needed).

The European Education Exchange is the latest MPI endeavor to expand the professional development offerings the association provides to the meeting/event community in Europe.

Leveraging the knowledge and skills of Angeles Moreno, strategic development senior advisor for Europe, MPI has built a strategy to deliver more programs to the European audience beyond the robust chapter events.

Moreno says the European Education Exchange reinforces the presence of the MPI Academy in Europe while also enhancing the value for members.

“We are very active in Europe and we have identified executive educational needs of event professionals here,” she says. “With the European Education Exchange, we’re bringing solutions to the market.”

According to Federico Toja, MPI’s director of chapter operations – Europe, “Further MPI activities will happen in other countries in the months to come. In addition, the partnership with IACC is a way to develop even more within the European market.”

To ensure an intimate and individual experience, there are only a limited number of slots available, so if you’re interested, apply now!
