Kick of the School Year with September Schmooze 2017

 

On behalf of the MPI BC Chapter, we hope all members had a productive, relaxing, and memorable summer.  As back-to-school time is upon us, we are beginning to accept the falling leaves and cloudy skies as Fall approaches.  This is a great time to really focus on reconnecting with colleagues, and making new contacts with fellow MPI members as we begin a new year of events, growth, and connections.

To kick off the school year, MPI BC Chapter is excited to be hosting its first Fall event, the September Schmooze 2017 to refresh, reignite, and rejuvenate the members’ motivation and networking within the event planning industry.  This exciting event will take place on Tuesday, September 19th from 5PM to 8PM at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver.

As has been stated in many past MPI events, “when we meet, we change the world.” September Schmooze 2017 aims to do just that and features an exciting pace of activities, from meditation to networking tips, a chance to mingle with industry leaders, and a buzzing cocktail reception allowing members, new and returning, to meet and creating lasting connections.

MPI BC is delighted to have a top networking expert, Gayle Hallgren-Rezac sharing effective networking practices, from face-to-face to digital and social media tips.  We also want to place a focus on the importance of stress management and mental well being for our members. MPI BC also welcomes Erin Lewyk from Lululemon, to lead a guided mediation exercise promoting relaxation and stress reduction at the Schmooze event.

MPI BC constantly strives to bring together an amazing group of dedicated members, suppliers, guests, and industry sponsors to create inspiring and educational events throughout the year.  As we expand our member base, we can launch larger-scale events and initiatives to meet the needs of the students and industry members that make our group so dynamic and successful.
