Fire Up So You Don’t Burnout: How to Prevent, Break Through, and Extinguish Burnout (once and for all)

Jessica Rector

Burnout is like a wildfire—spreading quickly and affecting everything in its path. Event planning is one of the most stressful jobs, which often times leads to burnout. With 79% of the workforce burned out, it’s the perfect time to extinguish this epidemic. The World Health Organization now recognizes burnout as a medical diagnosis, yet most don’t know how to identify it. When burnout is unresolved, you experience a decrease in productivity, health and morale. In this powerful presentation, Jessica shares key strategies to prevent and extinguish burnout by better handling stress to improve focus, performance, and relationships.

Participants will:

·         Examine Jessica's Burnout Success Formula to locate how burnout affects your work and life

·         Apply proven burnout strategies to enhance time management, focus, and productivity

·         Identify and pinpoint your biggest “burnout moments” to prevent future stress and improve your health

Available for one (1.0) hour of EIC Credit – pending approval

“Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away! You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose!” - (Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go! - 990)
Join us for your next “Career Defining” moment at the MPI D/FW Chapter Career Café, Oct. 24, 2019. Last month, Steven G.. Foster, CMP; Managing Partner of Foster+Fathom took you on a Full-Throttle Road Trip to become a “Social Media BadAss” and this time, he will be joined by two other chapter past-presidents to share their insights on “Professional Development through Volunteering.” With a small commitment of time and energy, you can build the skills, network, reputation and visibility necessary to enhance your career journey. Volunteering demonstrates leadership capability and achievement, which can be documented in a resume, as well as providing wonderful opportunities for professional development and personal growth.
