Reasons to Celebrate

As we begin the “new” chapter year, it gives us reason to celebrate a little more profoundly as we emerge from the challenges during the past year and a half. Although we, as an industry, are cautiously stepping forward, MPI Georgia continues to be that steady beacon of encouragement toward these evolving opportunities.

You have all chosen to be a part of our chapter because of our mutual passion for the meetings industry. Your passions help us all to come together as one and the energy we create allows us to achieve our individual, as well as collective, achievements. We need each other which is why we are so happy to have you as part of MPI Georgia.

During the next few months, you will be receiving news about our different initiatives through our planned programs and special events and how you will be able to join in and get your very own experiences. I hope that these will prove to be as memorable for you as they have been in the past. These are, of course, not the only things that are important. You will also be able to meet lots of new people and make new friends along the way.

Even though 2020 brought many hardships we will always look back with admiration on the way we endured through them. I am deeply grateful for, proud of, and touched by the way our chapter members have handled the greatest challenge to our industry. We were there for each other when it really counted. Better days are coming soon.

I look forward to serving as your president this year and welcoming everyone to our educational programs, networking events and special events. I encourage each of you to become, or continue to be involved, in the amazing volunteer opportunities for the chapter. Thank you for your commitment as a member of MPI Georgia.
