Richmond Punch, Richmond Punch Productions, Owner and Violinist
Joined MPI Georgia: May 2020
Richmond Punch, Violinist Extraordinaire, joined our MPI Georgia family in May of this year. He is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, attended The Juilliard School for his bachelor’s degree, and Yale University for his master’s degrees. Richmond has performed from the streets to Carnegie Hall before culturally diverse audiences. He performs nationwide and is classically trained but also performs jazz, gospel, country, R&B, hip hop, and world music styles. Richmond Punch Productions accommodates preferences with The Punch TKO'S Band, string quartets, DJs; whatever is needed for a memorable entertainment experience. Richmond manages event types including weddings, quinceaneras, bar mitzvahs, churches, conferences, fundraisers, and many different celebrations.
Richmond was introduced to MPI through the Dallas chapter where he was the featured entertainment for their MPI Gala. He has since moved to Atlanta, Georgia and joined the Georgia chapter. Richmond supports nonprofit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, March of Dimes, and Susan G. Komen. His next travel destination is a trip to South Africa to perform and teach children how to play the violin.
Currently, Richmond is finding enjoyment in conducting virtual concerts and lessons. He keeps with him these words of wisdom from his mother, rest her soul, who used to say, "Your gift will make room for you. It will take you before Kings and Queens.”
