Michele Klopper, CMP MK Meetings & Events Independent Meeting and Event Planner Member since July 2020

MPI Georgia would like to welcome re-joining member, Michele Klopper, an events industry veteran with 25+ years experience and 20 years as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). She has been a planner for international medical associations and Fortune 100 companies throughout the United States and is currently an Independent Meeting and Event Planner. Michele re-joined MPI Georgia last summer following a several-year hiatus. Encouraged by friends and fellow planners to return, she looks forward to being an integral part of the MPI Georgia membership. In the meantime, she has been taking full advantage of the continuing education including getting her Virtual Event & Meeting Management (VEMM) certification in October.

Michele is inspired by Atlanta-area businesswoman, Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx. “She’s the iconic entrepreneur who built and developed her own brand into a woman’s staple garment (to the point, where you can refer to the undergarment as Spanx and most people know what it is), gives back to communities, and is an ardent supporter for female entrepreneurs. She also enjoys a full life outside of work.”

When Michele is not event planning, you might find her drinking coffee from her collection of city-specific Starbucks mugs, cooking, attending a yoga class, planning a post-Covid dream trip to Paris for her daughter, or spending time outdoors with her family or she might be swapping places with her dog for a day. “Sometimes, I’d love to switch places with my dog. I could nap anytime, run around in my backyard, and get a treat just because I’m me :). Mostly, dogs know how to live in the moment.”
