Cori Schleger Bokath Meeting Expectations Director of Planning Member since February 2021

MPI Georgia would like to welcome Cori Schleger Bokath as a new member. Cori currently serves as the Director of Planning at Meeting Expectations primarily focused on implementing the developmental training of the staff within their planning department. She was introduced to the chapter through her company which serves as the Association Manager.

Cori was introduced to the meeting industry by accident. “I inadvertently stumbled into the role of corporate meeting planner at Mohawk Industries back in 2001. It became apparent as Mohawk’s business was growing, and they needed someone permanent to take on the role of managing the conferences.”

In her present-day position, Cori is currently planning a 1-day hybrid conference supporting doctors and nurses working with patients with Pancreatic Cancer. As her career in the events industry grows, she understands the importance of creating and building strong vendor relationships. “To me, this is the cornerstone of becoming a valued and trusted meeting planner.”

During the pandemic, Cori became a Certified Water Sommelier. She joked that “now I collect fine waters.” Additionally, she is excited to travel whether that be when she retires, after winning the lottery, or simply to her next work destination, the Hilton Anaheim in California.
