Introducing the Mentorship Program

MPI Georgia is thrilled to launch our newest member-focused initiative: the Mentorship Program. This program benefits both mentees and mentors. As referenced in a recent Forbes article, mentoring relationships can “push your career to new height” and can “deliver a rewarding and potentially life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.”  Effective mentoring happens when both the mentor and mentee assume responsibility for making the relationship work.

MPI Georgia utilizes the mentorship features of our Facebook Group (exclusive and private to our Mentorship Community) to match mentees to mentors and provide other related resources. We will provide you tips for engaging with your mentor and getting the most out of the relationship.

For Mentees: If you are looking to connect with an industry professional to help mentor you as you enter or grow in the field of meetings and events, look no further. Interested mentees should email the program chair Shari Westmoreland, who will contact you to provide next steps, including how to access the Facebook group and identify a mentor.
