Who do you work for and what is your position in the company?

I am currently the Marketing & Events Coordinator for Jones Walker law firm. I started my career with Jones Walker, as an Events Assistant, working mostly on smaller, local events. My responsibilities have since grown to oversee all firm events, across firm markets. focusing on client entertainment, retention, and development.

How long have you been in the hospitality industry?

This year marks my five-year anniversary in the hospitality industry, I love working in an industry that is centered around creating positive and meaningful experiences for people.

What is your favorite part about your job?

Meeting and event planning is one large puzzle. you are constantly trying to piece together all the moving parts, while also being strategic in the moves you make, My favorite part of my job IS the day of an event, when you finally get to see the completed puzzle.

What are your favorite things to do on the weekend?

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, binge watching television shows, finding new restaurants, and taking my dog for walks around the lakes or in the park.

Do you have any pets?

My husband and I have the most adorable two-year-old goldendoodle puppy. Ask me for pictures — I am happy to supply them!

How long have you been with MPI?

I joined MP! in 2015, I joined right before moving to Baton Rouge, which makes it hard to attend meetings. However, I have enjoyed the meetings I have been able to attend and appreciate having a community that I can rely on for advice and inspiration.
