What Tastes Are Next in the Future of Food and How You Can Use Them

Christine Couvelier is a Culinary Executive, an Executive Chef, and a Global Culinary Trendologist.

What’s a Culinary Trendologist? Christine tours the globe to taste what is coming next, cooking with chefs, attending food shows, visiting greenmarkets and gourmet retailers. She develops her sought-after Trend Watch Report focusing on emerging, developing and existing trends.

Christine is the past Executive Chef of President’s Choice, the Director of Culinary & Beverage/Executive Chef at Cara Operations, and the Chair of The Chef School of George Brown College. She worked on Global Innovation for Unilever and was the first Director of Culinary Strategy at Maple Leaf Foods, where she worked on the vision, design and construction of the ThinkFOOD! Centre.

Currently, Christine continues to educate, teach and inspire her customers through her consulting company Culinary Concierge, with clients across North America. Christine goes beyond borders and gets up close and personal with the food industry to provide her clients with a better understanding of the marketplace and trends in the world food sector in order to help develop and sustain a competitive edge.

As meeting professionals, we are constantly tasked with designing new food experiences, with decreased F&B budgets and expectations to still produce inclusive, unique, trendy and great tasting culinary experiences at our events.  If this sounds like your challenge, you won’t want to miss this luncheon.

Christine Couvelier, Executive Chef/Global Culinary Trendologist with Culinary Concierge, will open up her culinary crystal ball and share with us the new emerging culinary and beverage trends.  Christine show you where to look for trends and how to translate these trends into fabulous menus at your events.  You can become your own Trendologist!

We will taste our way through some of the most innovative 2020 F&B trends and find out why ‘sizzle’ is a trend…. what’s new in the world of ‘cauliflower’.… what ‘African grain’ is going to be on menus this year…. and taste the world of ‘craft mocktails.

Why should a member attend?

At the end of this event experience, you’ll be able to blend new tastes into delectable menus that have your clients and guests talking about the event.

Learner Outcomes:

  • Hear the latest F&B trends and learn how to turn them into culinary experiences.
  • Discover where to look for new tastes and how to build them into a flavorful menu.
  • Learn creative solutions for negotiating food and beverage to get the most out of your budget.
