After 7 years, SA Morgan was promoted to serve as a Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and oversaw highly sensitive operations between the FBI and multiple U.S. intelligence community partners.  In July 2007, SA Morgan was assigned to the Houston Division where he managed counterintelligence squads investigating national security violations.  In October 2014, SA Morgan was selected to serve as an Assistant Legal Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  In January 2015, SA Morgan was back in Houston as the FBI Private Sector Coordinator building awareness through educating and enabling partners to identify and minimize risks.

Why should a member attend:
Do you know what to do should an emergency situation like an active shooter arise?  Or perhaps an unruly and uninvited guest disrupts your event?  Emergencies, by nature, are not planned and can occur with little or no warning.  Having an updated and relevant emergency operation plan is crucial for business owners, organizational leaders and planners when considering how they can protect attendees, staff and themselves at their events.
Please join us as we welcome Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Michael S. Morgan who will discuss such situations.   He will address the planning, preparation and responses necessary to minimize the risk and negative outcomes during an unplanned emergency.  These insights are invaluable to anyone who is preparing a risk management plan.  You don’t want to miss this event!  It could save your life and/or the lives of others around you.

Educational Outcomes:

  • Develop a mindset of preparedness.
  • Determine what to look for in your surroundings.
  • Learn how to create a plan of action for any event.
  • Script a media response.

This program is approved by EIC for 1 clock hour of credit under Domain C.
