How does a planner successfully and creatively navigate the turbulent waters of political divides, social justice issues, environmental changes and technology innovations while making events engaging and inclusive? Today’s event professionals have the burden and responsibility of keeping up with more variables than anyone in our roles have ever faced.
We are in a critical but powerful position to neutralize these divisive forces with face-to-face experiences intentionally designed to bring people together. First, we must understand the complexities that people are currently facing. Second, blend that awareness into gracious and seamless event elements that support special needs so that every attendee feels valued. Third, make technology your BFF!
