Please join us on Wednesday, June 15^th to learn more about How to Book and Promote Talent, from a panel of industry experts!  Then let’s celebrate the 2022-2023 Annual Awards and Board of Directors Installation all taking place in the historical Louisville Palace Theatre.

Main Stage

You’ve heard about Van Halen and the green and brown M&Ms.  This was brilliant! The rider in their contracts stated that there should be a bowl of green M&Ms with a warning, that there should be “absolutely no brown ones”.  If the correct M&M’s weren’t backstage, they knew the contract had not been reviewed.

Let’s rewind for a moment.  How do you book talent?  Booking talent is one of the many hats we wear.  We are tasked with sourcing, booking, and accommodating the talent’s requests.  This includes working with the venue to secure the performance for set-up and health checks.  Oh, and let’s not forget audio visual.  Then we need to promote the event!

During our time together, you will meet talent buyers and promoters that will help demystify how to locate, book, and promote talent for your next event.   You’ll learn about contracting and drill down to learn more about riders - those pesky M&Ms.  And we will be enlightened on how to promote and advertise this amazing experience.  We’ll also discuss the production considerations that you should keep in mind for your keynote speakers!

We’ll conclude the meeting with Bravo!, the annual awards program that recognizes our industry peers who have volunteered their time & talents to MPI KBC during the past year along with the induction of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors.
