Emerging Professionals

MPI Northern California Chapter Emerging Professionals




The Mission of the Emerging Professionals Committee is to educate, engage and enlighten students, new graduates and professionals transitioning into the industry by providing them with tools, experiences, discounts, and resources to engage successfully in the industry while we welcome them to MPINCC. 

This community of students, faculty and professionals is dedicated to creating opportunities for Emerging Professionals (students and those in their first 3 years in the industry) to experience how a professional association augments their education. MPINCC’s Emerging Professionals Committee does this by:

  • Providing educational opportunities and networking events in the Bay Area geared toward the interests of students on campus.
  • Our NEW Mentorship Program!  This program engages Emerging Professionals with seasoned professionals (see more information below).
  • Offering complimentary admission for a limited number of students to our Annual Conference and Expo taking place in February of 2019 this year. The 2019 event will offer an new experiential learning opportunity for those that attend.
  • Please join us!  Our committee can greatly benefit by having Emerging Professional members provide the Emerging Professional perspective and help us design successful programs. Please email Jill Schnaps (contact information below) for more information on how to obtain a complimentary admission.


MPI Student Community, Membership & Benefits

Mentorship Program 

The MPINCC Mentorship Program will connect professional members in our chapter with our Emerging Professionals for the purpose of networking, coaching, and increasing involvement within the chapter while focusing on professional development. Here is the Mentorship Program Agreement which provides more information about the program. If you are interested in being a part of this program please complete the MPINCC Mentorship Pairing form and submit it to Soskita Green, with the Emerging Professionals Committee.
