2019 - 2020 MPI Pittsburgh Board of Directors

 Gloria is beginning her fifth term on the MPI Board of Directors this year as she enters into the President Role. She has held previous roles on the board in the finance, membership, and education departments. Gloria joined MPI Pittsburgh six years ago to build upon her education as well building relationships with those in the industry around the Pittsburgh region. She is the Director of Facilities Presentation at California University of Pennsylvania. Married to her college sweetheart, Gloria is a proud cat mom, Pittsburgh sports fan, video board enthusiast, and a mediocre runner.

Dan has been a member of the MPI Pittsburgh Community for 5 years. Since joining MPI Pittsburgh Dan has served on the Board of Directors for 4 years in the membership department as Director of Member Engagement and Vice President of Membership. He is excited to be a part of the Office of the President for the next three years and looks forward to being a part of building the chapter and growing the membership further. He loves the hospitality industry, learning new trends, and how every day is different. If you see him at one of our events,  say “Hey Dan!”

Jaime Budesa has been actively involved in all phases of Pittsburgh’s events industry for 20 years. Currently employed at VisitPITTSBURGH, her career also includes 15 years in full-service hotels working in Event Sales & Management and two years at a convention center in Event Technology. Jaime’s years of executive level leadership positions have given her the opportunity to excel in team development and revenue goals, and she has earned notable achievements in sales, CRM management, and business intelligence. 

She is also a five-year board member serving the Pittsburgh Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.  Her MPI roles have included Director of Monthly Programs and Vice President of Education before becoming President in 2018/2019.  She will currently sit on the board as Past President for the 2019/2020 year.    Jaime is passionate about the city of Pittsburgh and enjoys spending time with her husband, Sinisa, who is originally from Serbia.

Jill is beginning her 2nd term on the MPI Pittsburgh Board of Directors this year as she moved into the Vice President of Education role from Director of Monthly Programs. Jill joined MPI Pittsburgh 2 years ago to build relationships with those in the industry around the Pittsburgh region. Jill's day to day role is as the Director of Events & Special Programs for the Pittsburgh Technology Council. On most weekends, Jill can be found traveling near & far for her favorite bands (O.A.R., Andy Grammer, Steve Everett, JD Eicher & many more), as well as spending time with her best friends, their kids & her family making memories.

Megan joined the MPI board in 2019 and serves as the Vice President of Membership. She presently holds the Event Manager position at Nova Place. Her passion for the Pittsburgh Hospitality community and desire to expand on her education brought her to MPI. In her downtime, she loves to entertain, explore the great outdoors and spend time with her family.


Scott Dayna

Dayna is excited to join MPI Pittsburgh Chapter’s Board of Directors as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Communications this year. Dayna Joined in October of 2018 to learn how to better advance herself in the professional planning world and to network around the city of Pittsburgh. Dayna is currently the Director of Events and Special Projects for the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International affairs, as well as the founder of Dayna Scott Events, a local Day of Coordination and Event Planning Service. Dayna loves to hike with her husband and two dogs, go to concerts, and explore her hometown!

Kami joined MPI Pittsburgh in March 2018 and accepted the position as Director of Special Events & Networking on MPI Pittsburgh’s board that following July 2018.  She is now currently the Vice President of Special Events & Networking and is thrilled to take this next step in leadership.  Beyond her day to day job as a Group Sales Manager at Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, the role of Vice President of Special Events & Networking allows her to expand her creativity and passion in the planning aspect of the hospitality industry.  This position and being in the Special Events & Networking department, has provided her with endless networking opportunities, but also partnerships and friendships with other top planners and suppliers in our local Pittsburgh Community.

Rodney Morrow, Director of Sales and Marketing for Accor Hotels and Resorts representing The Fairmont Pittsburgh. He is the incoming Vice President of Sponsorship Development for MPI Pittsburgh chapter.  Rodney has over 20 years of experience in luxury hotels in North Carolina, Atlanta, California, Las Vegas and Pennsylvania. Rodney has worked for Ritz-Carlton and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts as well as luxury independent properties. His current role includes managing the Sales and Marketing teams while continuing to maintain and develop relationships in the marketplace. His greatest fulfillment at work comes from mentoring and developing hospitality Sales people. Rodney enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters.

Tracy is new to the MPI Board as Director of Membership Recruitment and Retention.  She has been a member since 2018 and enjoys strengthening new and existing relationships with fellow members. Tracy is a group sales manager at the Doubletree Pittsburgh Downtown and lives in the Beechview neighborhood of Pittsburgh with her husband Eric, 2 cats and Belgian Malinois puppy.

With a passion for bringing people together through event experiences and all things logistics, Courtney joined MPI Pittsburgh in 2018 to expand her professional development and to connect with like-minded industry peers. She currently serves at the Chapter’s Director of Monthly Programs and is a Senior Event Program Manager at Cisco.  As a native “Yinzer”, Courtney enjoys traveling, being active, pop culture, rooting for the hometown sports teams and tea (lots of tea!).

Nicole is beginning her first term on the MPI Pittsburgh Board of Directors this year as she enters into the May of Celebration Chair Position! She has been involved with MPI since her college years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania studying Hospitality Management and has continued to get more involved as she has built her career. She is now working at The Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh-Downtown as a Catering Sales Manager. She is in charge of all weddings and social events and has such a huge passion for planning events. Nicole is a huge animal lover, born and raised Pittsburgh girl and will be newly married in August!

Gathering and reporting on market trends to drive development of her events is a must, Taylor joined MPI Pittsburgh in 2019 to focus on meeting planning as a profession and network with other professionals in the Greater Pittsburgh area. She currently serves as the Chapter’s Director of Global Meeting Industry Day and is the Conference Manager & Student Outreach Coordinator at the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP). Taylor enjoys playing and officiating soccer, working out, and being with her family and two Australia Sheppard’s, Lily and Luna
