MPISCC Cares exists to offer volunteer opportunities and community interaction for chapter members in the areas our members work and live. Involvement in the MPISCC Cares committee is meant to address member charitable giving in a variety of ways, including through cash and item donation, plus volunteer time and talents.
If you are interested in joining the committee to help plan and execute these events, please contact Kristin Twombly at presidentelect@mpiscc.org

Founded by student and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, Malala Fund invests in education programs to help girls go to school and reach their full potential. Through their Gulmakai Network, The Malala Fund invests in local educators and advocates — the people who best understand girls in their communities — in regions where the most girls are missing out on secondary school. The Malala Fund advocates — at local, national and international levels — for resources and policy changes needed to give all girls a secondary education.
The grassroots work AFSP does focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, they bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize the chapter.
