Member Spotlight – Brett Politte

By: MPISTL | Nov 1, 2017

Brett-PolitteSt. Louis MPI’s November member spotlight is Brett Politte. Brett joined our chapter last month. He is a 2015 graduate of Missouri State University’s Entertainment Management program and began his career with Maritz and a restaurant event position.

Brett currently serves as the Conferences and Events Specialist at The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management in Chesterfield. The organization’s role is to connect potential MBA students with minority backgrounds to nearly 20 member schools. One of the ways Brett is helping these students is planning of the Consortium’s 1,500-person annual conference. Students have the opportunity to connect with corporate partners like Google, Facebook, Amazon and Starbucks. Most leave the conference with at least an offer for either an internship or a job offer. “My role here is a great fit, as I knew I wanted to do something in meeting planning, events and I wanted to travel,” Brett said. When asked about the impact he’s having so far in his role at the Consortium, Brett adds, “The job makes me feel good, because we’re making needed connections on both the student, university and employer sides.”

Brett has joined the Recruitment Committee, where he’ll work to recruit student members. When he’s not working, Brett enjoys spending time with friends, attending baseball games, movies and playing sand volleyball. Please introduce yourself at an upcoming event and welcome Brett to our MPI family.
