This time of year, I think of renewal, regrowth and bringing new life as we jump into spring! This year may look a bit different. You may be in a similar circumstance as 2020 as we pass the one-year mark of the COVID pandemic and start to see a glimpse of hope, light at the end of the tunnel and industries getting back to the new way of operating with caution.

This month, our industry is always in the hustle and bustle of life, with many events on the horizon and in celebration of Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID). This month is always busy, yet rewarding, as we come together not just as MPI but a global industry of professionals.

We have much to celebrate and look forward to as an industry as we begin to return to some of the old while bringing with us what we have learned from new experiences. Remember what we have been through - together. Evaluate what we have accomplished - collaboratively. And integrate the lessons learned - never to be forgotten.

This pandemic may have impacted us in so many ways, but I think we have impacted it, too! Our industry did not go silent, we did not give up, and we found new ways of connecting when we couldn’t physically gather! I encourage you to continue to make an impact with diverse voices united as one. Our industry has much to come back from, but we know we can do this together.
