Take the First Step Toward Your CMP Certification By Registering for MPI THCC’s Eight-Week Virtual Study Group

If you’ve expressed interest in pursuing a CMP certification but have not started studying, mark your calendars! MPI THCC’s virtual study group, facilitated by Carol Benavidez, is coming your way soon, and you can take part in it by reserving a spot today!

About the CMP

The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program was launched in 1985 to enhance the knowledge and performance of meeting professionals, promote the status and credibility of the meeting profession and advance uniform standards of practice.

Today, the CMP credential is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the events industry. The qualifications for certification are based on professional experience, education and a rigorous testing process. According to recent industry studies conducted by PCMA, meeting planners who hold the CMP earn (on average) more than $10,000 annually than their non-certified counterparts. So whether you're a hotelier, supplier or meeting planner, THIS COULD BE YOU!

MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter’s intense virtual study group is structured around the core areas required to successfully pass the CMP exam -- including a variety of multimedia-rich content, online activities and quizzes recorded for on-demand viewing at a later time -- and is designed around learning objectives that will help you:

  • Obtain a clear understanding of the ins and outs of the rigorous exam, the process, the testing center and the actual completion of the exam
  • Identify several features of each domain using real-life experiences from the audience to emphasize industry knowledge and education
  • Understand additional study tools by applying sample testing materials, the CMP app and student-participation takeaways
The course will begin on January 4, 2022, with the following sessions running on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CT for eight weeks: January 11 | January 18 | February 1 | February 8 | February 15 | February 22 | March 1 | March 8
Note: There will not be a session on January 25

Registration is now open so save yourself a seat and contact education@mpithcc.org if you have any questions and requests or need additional assistance.

CMP_preferredThis program has been approved by the Events Industry Council for 8 CEU credit hours.

MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter is a CMP Preferred Provider.
