Annual Meeting Events Coordinator

Overview
The primary purpose of the Annual Meeting Events Coordinator is to assist with coordination of all aspects of the ISAC Annual Meeting event planning and management, as well as the ISAC Executive Committee meetings and Regional Meetings.

We are a community-driven nonprofit responsible for industry leading best practices for securing IT systems and data. We lead a global community of IT professionals to continuously evolve these standards and provide products and services to proactively safeguard against emerging threats.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with coordination of ISAC Annual Meeting and ISAC-related events, including processing event inquiries, event planning, setup, resource/vendor management and event communications
  • Maintain and assist with Event Registration Platform organization, design and troubleshooting
  • Assist with sponsorship organization, processing sponsorship deliverables and vendor management
  • Coordinate speaker communications, materials and management of speaker deliverables
  • Maintain a working relationship with vendors and venues, as well as outreach to obtain new vendors and venues
  • Assist with event marketing materials and processing event deliverables
  • Management of the ISAC Annual Meeting inbox and responding to inquiries from members
  • Assist with post-event reporting, reimbursements and wrap-up
  • Adhere to and report on specific event budgets and specification requirements
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited college in Event Planning, Marketing or a related field*
  • 3+ years’ professional event planning experience
  • Ability to accommodate mission-based overnight travel as necessary; Approximately 15-25% travel is required
  • Experience using event management software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to successfully multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

It's A Plus If You Have
  • Project Management and industry recognized certifications are a plus (ex: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), etc.)
  • 3+ years’ event coordination experience
  • Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
