San Francisco boasts some of the best dining in the world, but you don't have to take our word for it. In the 2021 Michelin Guide, 6 Bay Area restaurants received the coveted three Michelin stars, 8 were awarded two
Michelin stars and 50 were awarded one or more Michelin stars.
Out of the 50 Best Restaurants in the World, San
Francisco has three of them (SF and NY are the only US cities on this coveted list).
San Francisco takes the safety of its tourists very seriously. That's why the San Francisco Police Department's Community Ambassador program, staffed by retired police officers, places over 20+ ambassadors in the Union Square area and other tourist neighborhoods 7 days a week from 11am - 9pm. Additionally, their Tourism Deployment Plan places 26 additional officers in high-traffic iconic travel destinations.
San Francisco Travel will also arrange & manage volunteer directional ambassadors placed strategically in the downtown area. They will be in an identifiable uniform holding welcome signs and will be present on the three
highest traffic days of WEC for up to 2.5 hours.
