Welcome to the MPI Staff and Board Speaker Program! Use this page to learn more about each MPI staff and volunteer leader who can speak at your chapter event or program. This program helps MPI create relevant and dynamic presentation decks in support of MPI leaders, and it streamlines leaders’ experience when they are requested to speak. When you use this program, you will never have to pay speaking fees, however, we do ask that you reimburse or provide airfare, ground transportation, and any accommodations that may be needed by speakers to attend your event. Most presentations are only intended to last 10-15 minutes, and longer presentations are given at the discretion of the speaker.

SPEAKER BIO:

Antonio is currently Cluster General Manager of the COLLEZIONE division of Starhotels Group.

In his role, Antonio is responsible for the operational and financial performance of 11 Hotels of the Starhotels portfolio which includes 7 properties in Italy, 3 in London and 1 in Paris with a team of 8 General Managers reporting to him as well as the heads of Sales, Revenue and Marketing divisions.

Prior to this role Antonio was for 6 years Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, Europe for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where he came directly from MPI where he was Director of Global Accounts based in the Luxemburg office.

Antonio's previous management experiences also includes 6 years as Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Monaco and South of France for Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts and 10 years of General Manager at Park Hotel Ravenna, an independent property in Italy.

In the industry for almost 40 years he started his career in the Hospitality joining an Hotel Management Program at the Hotel Management School "F. Martini" in Italy that gave him the opportunity to work in several positions across many properties in Italy prior to fine-tune his preparation at the Claridges and the Grosvenor House in London in early 90'.

Antonio has always been passionate about professional associations and he recovered several roles such as Vice President of Hotelier Association of Ravenna, Vice President of Skal International in Monaco, President of MPI Italy, member of European Committee of GBTA and now member of the International Board of Directors of MPI.
Antonio holds both a CMM and a CHBA certification.

Antonio has three kids and he now lives in Florence with his partner Francesca and baby Alessandro.
