As National Volunteer Week (April 20-24) approaches, we encourage you to take time to recognize and celebrate the volunteers who support your Chapter.
A simple thank you - whether a social post, note, or event shoutout - can go a long way.
You can use the "Volunteer Thank You" text available on the CLRP > Office of the President > MPI Chapter Board Service.
Thank you for all you do to support the MPI community!
Last call for all Chapters to submit their 2025 Metrics Incentive Points Claim Forms for the points earned during your Chapter Performance Reviews.
All claim forms are due to your Regional Operations Managers no later than April 30, 2026, so they can be processed by the MPI Academy and/or the Membership Department.
MPI will soon be launching an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) survey designed to better understand a members' and volunteers experience across our association. The survey will be distributed to MPI Global Staff, IBOD, GBOT, Volunteer Chapter Leaders, and International Volunteers. The survey data will be confidential and used only in aggregate to help inform future priorities, resources, and support for chapters and members globally. This survey will launch in April.
We are only seven weeks away from WEC San Antonio and many Chapters have not entered the WEC Chapter Challenge yet.
Toolkits and information about the Challenge and WEC are available via the CLRP > Chapter Toolkits > Monthly Toolkits
It is important to remember that to participate in the WEC Chapter Challenge your Chapter must have WEC San Antonio listed in your events page. Once listed, you must submit the link to the listing via the submission form to confirm eligibility. You must also submit all your WEC promotions (videos, social media posts, newsletter, etc.) via the submission form available in the WEC Chapter Challenge document.
As of April 1 (no joke), only MPI Kansas City Chapter, MPI Potomac Chapter, and MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter have qualified for and submitted entries for the Challenge and have a chance to win not one, not two, but three complimentary registrations for WEC 2027 in Las Vegas amongst other prizes.
With the mid-year retreat/summit season in full force, we want to share with you that the Global Update video is now available via the CLRP > Facilitator Program > Guidelines
The video is about 14 minutes long and provides important reminders and updates for all board members.
Whether you are working with an MPI-verified Facilitator or not, please schedule 30-40 minutes of your retreat/summit agenda and include your Regional Operations Manager (in person or virtually), to watch the video and ask questions.
We’ve added two new CVENT user Guides:
You can find both resources on the CLRP under Office of the President > Event & Marketing Automation.
Congratulations to all the 2026 RISE Award Finalists!
The Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) and WEC San Antonio toolkits are now available via the CLRP > Chapter Toolkits > Monthly Toolkits with many digital assets and copy/paste samples of posts that all Chapters/Clubs can use. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to support survivors, raise awareness, and strengthen prevention through education. Because sexual violence includes sexual exploitation and trafficking, this month also offers an important opportunity to highlight the role our industry can play in recognizing warning signs and promoting safer spaces.
In hospitality settings, awareness of warning signs and promoting trusted training can make a meaningful difference by helping professionals identify concerns and follow appropriate reporting procedures. Together, we can help extend knowledge, compassion, and action throughout our chapters and communities.
The MPI Anti-Human Trafficking Committee Ambassadors have been reaching out to every Chapter and are available to assist Volunteer Chapter Leaders with resources for your members. If you have any questions, contact your AHT Ambassador or the Committee Chair, Jill Rasco.
