Leadership and Engagement

2025 Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Compliance

Each calendar year, Chapters are required to implement one new effort to raise awareness on Anti-Human Trafficking to your members and audience. Chapters may not repeat an initiative used in the past two years to fulfill the annual requirement. Review the Chapter Education toolkit for ideas. Keep in mind that Chapters are not restricted to the initiatives on this list – creativity is encouraged.

The 2025 Dashboards are being updated in order to track the AHT Awareness activity. Just like an Education or Networking event, the AHT Awareness activity should be tracked on the Chapter’s dashboard in the month that it occurred. In addition, an administrator’s note should be included with the description of the activity (for example, “During the month of August, fliers were included on all attendee chairs.”).

If your chapter held an AHT Awareness activity before the dashboard update has been completed, please send a dashboard update to your Regional Operations Manager.

MPI Student Club Information

As mentioned during our most recent January 2025 Chapter Leader All Hands Call (recording available Chapter Leader Training), we have launched a new effort to engage local students and support the existing MPI Student Clubs still operating.  There are documents now available on the CLRP > Office of the President > Chapter/Club Operations Guide.

If your Chapter/Club currently supports an MPI Student Club, please refer to the zip file named: Student Club – Established Student Clubs Information which contains the Student Club Annual Compliance Form and the Leadership Update form.

If your Chapter/Club would like to establish one in your area, please refer to the zip file named: Student Clubs - New Student Club Information which contains an Operational Guide on the process to establish and manage a recognized MPI Student Club. We have greatly reduced the requirements and governance to provide an easier experience for your Chapter/Club and the local MPI Student Club.

Be sure to check out the available student grants and scholarships below from the MPI Foundation!

Welcome back, MPI Aloha Chapter!

We are thrilled to officially welcome back the MPI Aloha Chapter! The return of the Chapter makes an exciting moment for our community, and offers new opportunities for collaboration, growth, and engagement.

To learn more about what’s ahead for the MPI Aloha Chapter, check out our interview with Chapter President, Heather Bailey.

Reminder: Post Board Meetings as Events on your Website

As a reminder, Board meetings may be attended by an active member of your Chapter/Club. It is recommended that you add your Board Meetings as independent events in your Chapter/Club’s event page. We recommend that you refrain from including the location of the meeting and note that anyone interested in attending should contact XX for further details. This would provide your leadership team with notice to ensure that the logistics for the meeting match anticipated attendance numbers.

All guests are observers and should be reminded of such. They should be seated separately from the Board table and may only address the Board when acknowledged by the Chair of the meeting. Their attendance should be tracked in the meeting minutes as guests.

CLS Board Meeting Best Practices Recording Now Available

The Board Meeting Best Practices Session recording from the Chapter Leadership Summit is now available here. If you missed it live, take a listen to the 5-minute session that can improve your Board Meeting efficiency!
