Leadership and Engagement

Keep Your Nominations and Governance Committee Engaged

As noted in the Annual Global Update, new Chapter Bylaws and Policies will be released soon. As part of the updates, Chapter Policies will be uncoupled from Global Policies – this means they will become their own free-standing document and will be added as an addendum to the MPI Global Chapter Policies (it will be important to ensure they do not conflict with the Global Chapter Policies). Keep your Nominations and Governance Committee engaged, as you will need their help to assist with the revision project. Final Chapter Bylaws and Policies will be due to MPI Global by December 31, 2023. More information is forthcoming, including a template to use for your Chapter Policies. Please do not begin the project until you receive the template and further instructions.

MPI Website Management Interface Updates Are Coming

If you are a chapter admin who regularly logs into your chapter's website's management interface, this update is for you! At the beginning of July, we will be switching over to Sitefinity's new website interface. The new interface brings with it a clean and refreshed look and feel to the website backend with some updated functionality. More importantly, switching to this new interface will allow us to stay current with Sitefinity's latest releases. Jay Hough, MPI's Director of Technology Services has put together a quick 6 minute video walking you through some of the major differences in the interface coming in July. We are just weeks away from WEC23 in the Mexican Caribbean and the buzz is already starting around this year’s Chapter Champion recipient. There is still time to submit your chapter’s application to tell us how your chapter supports the MPI Foundation year-round! Applications can be found here.
