Leadership and Engagement

Planning Annual Retreats

President Elects – May is the month that you should begin planning for your Annual Retreat this fall and your transition process. Annual Retreats must be facilitated by an MPI Verified Facilitator (see the announcement in this CLN about new facilitators). You will want to get on their calendar early to secure your spot. We recommend engaging a facilitator before you secure your venue.

Now is also the time to begin planning the transition process. After your Board Slate is submitted on August 1, plan to implement a comprehensive onboarding process:

  1. New Board of Director orientation covering all the basics of Board service – mid to late August
  2. Chapter Leadership Summit – September 10, 2026
  3. One-on-one transition meetings
  4. Chapter Annual Retreat
  5. Committee Volunteer Training covering all the basics of being a committee member – January
If you have any questions, reach out to your Chapter Operations Team Member

Welcome to our newest Chapter: MPI Peru!

MPI Peru Club was launched in 2023 from a Steering Committee supported by the Regional Council Latam, since then the local Board members have engaged the local community and was formally approved by MPI International Board of Directors this year to become a Chapter, having reached the baseline of 40 members! Congrats again!

Three New MPI Verified Facilitators

Thank you to the work of the Facilitator and Chapter Training (FACT) subcommittee of the Chapter and Membership Advisory Council, the search for new facilitators has been conducted and we are excited to welcome three new facilitators to the team: Gregory Heinze (Oregon), Mitch Savoie Hill (Georgia) and Tamra Gaines (Florida). Check out the catalog here: CLRP/Facilitator Documents/Supporting Documents/MPI Verified Facilitator Catalog 2026.

Three additional facilitators are actively onboarding and are expected to be available before Annual Chapter Retreats this fall.

Administration and Finance

Tax Returns No Longer Submitted to Global

While submitting a copy of your Chapter’s tax return used to be a compliance requirement, it was eliminated during our simplification efforts a few years back. There is no need for Chapters to send a copy of your tax return to Global. Please do keep them in your local historical files.

Special Committees

MPI’s Anti-Human Trafficking Committee partners with PACT for awareness

MPI’s Anti-Human Trafficking committee is proud to be partnering with ECPAT / PACT in raising awareness around human trafficking during large sporting events. This is especially crucial and relevant as countries around the world make their final preparations to host FIFA World Cup events.  We’re on the same team – protecting children and youth. In stadiums, accommodations, transport, bars or restaurants - whether working or visiting - you can help prevent child sexual exploitation; awareness is the first step.

Contact committee chair Jill Rasco with any questions.
