Dallas, TX — Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the largest meeting and event industry association worldwide, recently announced the recipients of this year’s RISE (Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence) Awards during the Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) broadcast, that took place Thursday, April 7, 2022. The recipients were selected for exceptional achievements in the meeting and event industry.

“I continue to be amazed by the commitment, dedication, and leadership that these recipients have demonstrated in their volunteer roles with their MPI Chapters,” said Bonnie Carlson International Board of Directors 2022 Chair. “Their excellent work will have a lasting impact in the meeting industry and will be an inspiration for future leaders.”

This year, the RISE Awards feature six awards in two categories: individual achievement and community achievement.

The 2022 RISE Award recipients are:

“This year has been another year that has been unprecedented in our industry as a whole and with MPI turning 50 so, it makes sense to see that the RISE Awards will also follow this same suit,” said Cassie Poss, 2022 RISE Award Chair. “Some incredible work is being done in the chapter, national and global scale by some truly remarkable individuals. Because of this, and the incredible candidates for this year’s award, the RISE Award Committee chose to award two members of the year.”

Recipients are recognized for innovation, global transferability, impact and influence within the industry and will join the MPI Community of Honorees, a group composed of past MPI award winners and distinguished leaders.

Award recipients will be recognized at MPI’s annual World Education Congress, taking place June 21-23, 2022 in San Francisco, CA.
