The RISE Award is one of the highest honors that a member of the MPI community can receive. Our Board of Directors and Committee members work tirelessly throughout the year to produce great programs, connect event professionals, and develop innovative solutions for the event industry. It is such a benefit to have a platform in place to be able to recognize those accomplishments as well as the personal achievements of some of our members who advocate for the industry.
The MPI D/FW Chapter has had the honor to receive RISE awards in 2017 for our Mentor Program and 2018 for our Sales Blitz. The award means so much to the recipient and, even for the individual awards, the chapter as a whole takes pride on raising that person to the level in which they have been able to give back to the industry. As a Board of Directors, one of our missions is to have each category receive at least one nomination from our chapter programs and individuals that we wish to recognize.
I believe that each chapter should adopt this goal, not only to recognize our hard-working volunteers, but also to bring a sense of pride and accomplishment to the chapter as a whole while continuing to strive to produce more impressive programs and benchmarks year after year in the hopes that our hard work will be embodied in a RISE Award.
