
Each year, MPI New England proudly recognizes the members who give their time, talent, and energy to move our chapter and the meetings industry forward. The Annual Chapter Awards shine a spotlight on the colleagues who inspire us, motivate others, and strengthen our community.
This is your chance to celebrate them or even nominate yourself!
All nominees must be MPI New England members in good standing. Current Board members are not eligible.
Scholarship Award
Provides a full year of complimentary registration to all monthly educational chapter events (excluding Educational Institute and GMID). Candidates must explain why they wish to participate, how it will support their professional goals, and how it will benefit MPI New England.
Chapter Leader Award
Honors a member whose energy, influence, and commitment have made a measurable impact on the life of the chapter. This award recognizes someone who motivates others, drives chapter initiatives, and builds a stronger community.
Planner & Supplier of the Year
Recognizes two outstanding members (one planner, one supplier) for their contributions, leadership, professionalism, and service. This award highlights career-long dedication through chapter involvement, volunteerism, mentorship, and community impact.
The Dayna Brunelli Tomorrow’s Leader Award
Celebrates an emerging professional making new contributions at the chapter level. This award honors a rising star in the events industry who demonstrates involvement, commitment, and achievement early in their career. Finalists will be recognized and winners announced during the Holiday Party & Board Induction on December 8, 2025, at Fenway Park. Join us as we celebrate the leaders, innovators, and rising stars who make MPI New England extraordinary.
Nomination Process:
1. Complete the Nomination Form – this will serve as a letter of recommendation for the nominee. (You may self-nominate or nominate a peer.)
2. Completed nomination forms must be received prior to the deadline of 11:59pm, October 31, 2025. After this deadline, the timeline below will guide the process.
3. The MPI New England Awards Committee will contact qualified nominees to confirm their nomination and provide information on next steps of the process.
Timeline:
Nominations Open: Now through October 31, 2025
Nominee Notification: By November 7, 2025
Nominee Review: November 10–21, 2025
Finalist notification: December 1, 2025
Winners Announced: December 8, 2025 at Holiday Party & Board Induction, Fenway Park
Judging Process:
Applications are compiled by the Chair of the Awards Committee and reviewed for completion and compliance. Any nomination that requires further review will be considered by the Chair of the Awards Committee.
Nominations will undergo a round of judging. The judges are a small group of volunteers representing a range of professions and expertise from within the New England Chapter. Judges will review and score all qualified entries.
The finalist for each award is confirmed for approval by the Chair of the committee and will be announced at the Holiday Party and Board Induction on December 8, 2025 at Fenway Park.

This scholarship award is presented annually to an MPI member from the New England Chapter to provide a full-year of complimentary registration to all chapter Education Committee events excluding the November Institute. The candidate or nominator must present a rationale for receiving this scholarship; including why he/she/they would like to/should be able to participate in Chapter educational events throughout the year, how this participation will benefit the candidate’s future professional goals, and how the candidate's participation will benefit the New England Chapter of MPI.
This award is intended to recognize the local commitment of a chapter member in influencing the life of the Chapter. The award is based upon the ability of the recipient to motivate others, impact chapter functions, provide a sense of purpose in the community, and act as a catalyst to cause exceptional results that benefit the local chapter and meetings industry.
The Meeting Professional of the Year - Planner recognizes a planner member who has made significant contributions to the meetings industry and is an exemplary representative of our profession. Nominees will be considered for professional experience, involvement in MPI, industry engagement, community service and recognition by their peers.
This award is presented annually to an MPI member who has made new contributions to the association at the chapter level. The candidate must be a current member of MPI in good standing. The candidate must be employed as a full-time planner or supplier. This award recognizes a new and growing career in the events industry with a demonstration of involvement, commitment, and achievement on a chapter level.
This award is named in honor of an incredible young member of MPI New England, gone from us too soon but remembered always for her contributions to the chapter. To learn more about Dayna, click here.
