1) How are you helping clients rethink a traditionally indoor program within your broad array of event spaces?

You know, this has actually been the most invigorating part of our jobs the past couple years! In a ballpark that hosts 40,000+, our traditional venues only scratch the surface of our offerings. We’ve had to rethink our approach and in that very process we’ve uncovered (stumbled upon!) new strategic opportunities. While outdoor events alone isn’t a new opportunity, we’ve had the pleasure of working with our partners to utilize several open-air, rain-protected and hybrid event spaces for conferences, filmings, holiday parties and intimate gatherings.

A great example of this is what we have planned for MPINCC’s Annual Conference & Expo (ACE) in just over a month! We’ll be hosting multiple sessions on top of our Dugout, with attendees filling our Lower Box seats facing the speaker with a natural backdrop of the historic Field and a massive HD Scoreboard displaying the presenter’s content. We’re not simply looking for ways to host events in this new era - we’re finding ways to improve events by leaning into our innate resources and client needs/preferences to leave attendees with a lasting impression.

2) Are your clients and partners having to change the way they structure their events and agendas to work within your new spaces?

Yes and no. Can we take a previous event agenda and recommend the spaces needed to execute that to the client’s and our standards? Absolutely. However, we’re using this as an opportunity to take advantage of what we have “on our bench.” Instead of hosting lunch in your meeting space, let us take you to our Centerfield Organic Garden or throw a few pitches in our Bullpens for a coffee break (both will wake you up, I promise). We’re here to support our clients in any way we can and help them grow with us.

3) How do you balance your events within the baseball schedule, which holds the most home games of any other major sport?

Well, you nailed it! There’s never a dull moment at Oracle Park. With 81+ home games and potential playoffs (Go Giants!), we’re hosting something at the Ballpark every single day after you factor in events, tours, etc. We’re never closed!

But our offerings can certainly vary each day. If you’re looking to entertain, we have the luxury of being able to talk through not only your private event options, but also group tickets, suites, premium club access and even … on-the-water charters aboard our California Spirit luxury vessel. We can’t wait for the baseball season to kick off so our Giants can defend their Western Division crown and to showcase a venue that makes so many people genuinely happy, every day of the year.
