Presently, the MPI Foundation is providing renewal scholarships to members affected by the current pandemic. During this time, renewal scholarships will be processed through Member Services. Please email MPI Member Services at help@mpi.org.
Annually, the MPI Foundation receives generous donations for restricted usage towards MPI’s premier educational event, the World Education Congress (WEC). The scholarships vary in financial distribution scope and value.
The MPI Foundation provides academic scholarships in conjunction with Universal Orlando Meetings & Events, offering 2 annual scholarships for students enrolled in the San Diego State University Master's in Hospitality & Tourism Management degree program.
Historically, the MPI Foundation provided funds to assist members attempting to earn professional certifications and to participate in select educational programming. Due to the current pandemic, the MPI Foundation has redirected funds towards distressed members to ensure that they can maintain their membership. When professional development scholarships are available, the update will be posted here and announced to members via chapter communications, MPI Foundation online communications, and social media.
We are fortunate to have the Events Industry Council (EIC) continuing to provide CMP education. For those seeking their CMP, the EIC is providing relief in the amount of $50 USD for the initial application, and $50 USD for the certification examination fee for those who have been furloughed, had their position eliminated, or experienced a salary reduction.
Contact certification@eventscouncil.org to request your relief code.
