MPI Foundation Scholarships

The MPI Foundation's scholarship programs offer education and career opportunities that propel professionals and students in the industry forward. Scholarships are governed by the Global Board of Trustees with oversight conducted by the Grants & Scholarship Committee.

Scholarships: MPI Membership, CMP, and MPI Academy

The MPI Foundation prides itself on helping our members grow professionally through industry education. Due to COVID19, the Foundation has redirected funds towards distressed members. As such, we are not reviewing scholarship applications until further notice other than those opportunities outlined below.

We are fortunate to have the Events Industry Council (EIC) continuing to provide CMP education. For those seeking their CMP, EIC is providing relief in the amount of $50 USD for the initial application, and $50 USD for the certification examination fee for those who have been affected by COVID-19 and are furloughed, have their position eliminated or are experiencing a salary reduction. Contact certification@eventscouncil.org to request your relief code.

Preference is given to members that have been an MPI member for at least 1 year for most conference and professional development scholarships. This does not include student member applicants. *Members with less than 1 year will still be considered and should contact the MPI Foundation if they have any questions.

The number of scholarships available each month varies based on funding and current events/programs taking place.

Many scholarships supported by a sponsor include restrictions such as member type, geographical location and volunteerism.

Scholarship funds are available for use for up to one (1) year from date of award.

The MPI Foundation seeks to have broad impact across a variety of community constituents. Members who have received scholarships may not be awarded additional scholarships within the next several years.
