Integrating Health & Wellness into your Meetings and Events
While Taking Care of Yourself as a Meeting Industry Professional
Learn to Apply the Skills of Mindfulness at Work

Why All Planners Should Attend:

According to CareerCast’s 2019 survey, Event Coordinator ranks as the 6th Most Stressful Job listed after Enlisted Military Personnel, Firefighter, and Police Officer (to name a few). We are driving ourselves into the ground to please our clients but who is taking care of us? As ridiculous as it may sound, Planners may want to add “Self-Care” to their weekly to-do list! This session will encourage Planners to prioritize self-care and remind everyone in attendance that we only get one chance at life!

Why All Suppliers Should Attend:
In the life of a supplier, we are always putting our clients first. That means dropping whatever we are doing to respond to a comment, lead, inquiry, all while setting up meeting after meeting, and writing up contract after contract. Our clients are our primary focus. Not only do we love working with them, but failure to respond to one email or one call could result in losing that client. If we continue to go, go, go, ultimately our health and wellness is what’s at stake. We can’t respond to these leads if we’re having a mental breakdown! This session will encourage suppliers to take a step back, find a new outlook on managing stress and ultimately remember there is a time for putting yourself first.

Work Hard – Live Well: Embracing Wellness with SMALL Steps:

Caryn draws audiences in by telling her own personal stories of how she embraced wellness through adversity. Caryn does this in a fun and energizing way. She encourages the audiences to think about how they can take SMALL steps toward better health in order to thrive in their lives. Whether they are a busy top-executive, a young, eager professional or a driven part-time employee her SMALL formula can work for all. Caryn has empowered thousands of busy people throughout the country to embrace self-care with this presentation.

About Caryn:

As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Caryn Sullivan, spent nearly 20-years working in the world of sports and entertainment largely at Disney & ESPN and the Minnesota Timberwolves/Lynx. She performed well in an intense environment fueled by Diet Dr. Peppers and endless bags of baked chips.

It wasn’t until her wake-up call with stage IV cancer that she changed her focus from looking good to being well. She launched Pretty Wellness.com to chronicle her journey toward wellness by sharing stories and lessons learned through her own hardship. Caryn loves to motivate people to thrive in their lives.

Caryn has been seen on The Doctor Oz Show , Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family and is a regular wellness contributor to WTNH-TV . Caryn has inspired thousands to embrace wellness through her motivational speeches throughout the country. Her book, “Happiness through Hardship,” a guide for cancer patients and caregivers was recently released on Amazon Kindle and the Amazon Kindle app for smartphones, PCs and Macs with proceeds donated to metastatic breast cancer research.
