What’s a moment during an event you planned that reminded you why you love this industry?
As a new member of the industry, I have many moments during events that remind me why I transitioned
into this field. One of my favorite memories was planning a Taylor Swift party when she was in Indianapolis.
Seeing the kids and adults both enjoy Taylor themed food, putting on jewels, and sharing friendship bracelets
made all the hard work and planning pay off!

Joining MPI builds your network and provides educational resources to help learn about the industry.
If you weren’t in the meetings and events world, what career path might you have taken and why?
I just joined the meetings and events world after teaching English in public schools for 12 years, so this is my
new career path. I am loving it so far!
What is one local spot (restaurant, cocktail bar, activity, etc.) that you would recommend to a fellow Hoosier?
My favorite restaurant in town is Diavola in Broad Ripple. Great wine and food!
If you had an extra hour in your day, how would you spend it?
Reading a novel with a cup of coffee.
If you could wake up tomorrow anywhere in the world to plan an event, where would it be?
My dream place to plan an event would be in Greece. The scenery, food, and liveliness would make for an
incredible event!
If you could only pack three things for a trip, what would they be?
Curling iron, mascara, and a great book!
