Other than improving your Zoom meeting skills, what have you learned (or learned to excel in professionally) since March of 2020?

I’ve learned relationships are more important now than before the pandemic started. Previously, it was “easy” to maintain relationships because you were able to see people at events, in the hallway at your office, or just in passing. Over the course of the pandemic, it became clear working to maintain those relationships was crucial to my success.

Who are you outside of work?

At work, I’m often see as an extravert due to my role. Outside of work, I thrive at being alone, aside from a few close friends. I work on a few side hustles to keep me busy.

Name a silver lining in your own work experience since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

My staff. They have been amazing to work with and have been extremely pivotal in our shifting environment. Their focus allowed additional quality resources to be designed, developed, and delivered to our members.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?

Earning my CAE and CMP certifications.

What are some of your favorite things about being an MPI member.

The network of members and getting to learn about the various organizations and individuals who comprise MPI.

When do you plan to go on your next vacation and where do you want to go?

Early November 2021 and I am headed to Washington D.C. for a few days to visit a friend and go on a museum tour!

What is the greatest place you have ever visited?

This is a tough one. There are so many amazing places out there from my childhood home to the Field of Dreams to New York City. One of my favorite places I visited though is the Grand Canyon – it probably has something to do with the helicopter ride we took out to, over, and down into the canyon.

Something people don’t know about you:

I mentioned my side hustles earlier. Aside from serving as a spare staff member for onsite events, I also have a small line of products I make at home. They are candles, vanilla extract, magnets, sugar scrubs, lip balms, etc.
