Other than improving your Zoom Meeting skills, what have you learned (or learned to excel in professionally) since COVID-19 began? 
I learned how to pause. When the world basically stopped, I took valuable time to brush up on interpersonal skills, how to pause before reacting/speaking during intense moments, and how to adjust quickly while making sure the outcome is effective for everyone. 

Who are you outside of work?
I love my family, go fishing, and attend concerts. 

Name a silver lining in your own work experience since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
I obtained my master’s degree in Leadership Development in 1 year (2020-2021).  Since events were on hold and work was slower than normal, I was able to enroll in an online program at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College locally and get it done quickly during evenings and weekends.   

What is your proudest professional accomplishment to date?
My current role as Director of Sales and Marketing at the newly opened Terre Haute Convention Center. 

What are some of your favorite things about being an MPI member?
Networking and reading all the industry news. 

When do you plan to go on your next vacation and where do you want to go?
We just went on vacation to Kentucky Lake to relax and fish last month. Next vacation will most likely be a “staycation” and get things done around the house.  

What is the greatest place you have ever visited? 
Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl. It was during Halloween, and it was an amazing experience.  

Something people don’t know about you:
I love heavy metal music and love to go to concerts.
