What Could Go Wrong? A Working Session on Event Risk

Join the MPI Indiana Chapter on November 16 at the Graduate by Hilton Bloomington for an engaging session, "What Could Go Wrong? A Working Session on Event Risk".

Every event professional has a story about the thing nobody planned for. Drawing on 34 years of experience in safety and crisis response, John Summerlot will walk attendees through common event risk pitfalls, sharing scenarios from across his career - from private VIP gatherings to managing large events like the Little 500 and IU Football Games.

This 90-minute working session covers how to identify the risks that actually threaten your event, how to priortize them when you can't address everything, and how to build a response plan your team will use under pressure. 

We'll then put those into practice with a tabletop exercise: a guided walk-through of a scenario unfolding in real time, with the group making the calls. Come ready to participate and engage with your fellow MPI IN members.
