SPEAKER- LAURIE HILL: 

Laurie Hill lives in Clearwater, Florida with her husband of almost thirty years, David.  She is blessed to have a twenty-five year old son, Brady who is a trained chef and missionary to Japan and a nineteen-year old daughter, Amber. 

Laurie has worked in marketing and sales for over thirty years in the secular and faith workplace. 

Laurie is the published author of the “I AM in Business” book available online and in bookstores.

Laurie is currently the Branding and Business Development Consultant for the Collaborative Labs at St. Petersburg College – a facilitated solutions company for collaborative planning.  

Laurie’s work has encompassed marketing for multiple industries within the Tampa Bay area. She has sat on multiple executive boards and helped in fundraising for multiple non-profit organizations and well as founding a Christian Chamber of Commerce in the Tampa Bay area. Laurie is a serial entrepreneur and has owned multiple small businesses, her favorite having been an online tea business as tea is one of her passions.

Laurie is a speaker and has been asked to speak on multiple business and faith-based topics all over the Tampa Bay area in Florida. 


EVENT DESCRIPTION:

This highly interactive presentation will immerse MPI North Florida Chapter participants in Collaborative Labs’ Strength-Based Approach to Strategic Planning & Implementation utilizing the Appreciative Inquiry 4-D Model. Participants will be introduced to Strategic Planning Tips and Tools that can be used to create an Ideal Vision, Brand and Strategic Direction, ensuring full membership engagement and accountability for the implementation of a high-impact plan to increase business successes.

  • Equip members with a strategic planning toolkit that works.
  • Learn about tools that will bring business clients back for more events.
  • How to focus on strengths and successes to build business.
  • How to breakdown strategic buckets and complete action planning.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

Face Coverings: All attendees will be required to wear masks at all times, except when seated and eating. This includes in hotel common areas as required by the venue. Please bring a mask to the event. A limited number of masks will be available for those needing one.

Physical Distancing: Our event space will accommodate 6-foot physical distancing for participants.

Contactless Registration: Attendees will pick up pre-printed name badges in the spacious pre-function area designed to maintain physical distancing while picking up badges.

Food and Beverage: Sit-down meal service will include pre-packaged items and food delivery following Queen’s Harbor’s enhanced food safety protocols. All employers are required to undergo daily temperature checks and wear facial coverings throughout the venue.

Enhanced Cleaning: Sanitizer stations will be prominently displayed throughout the venue. Rigorous cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants, including increased frequency of sanitizing public spaces with electrostatic sprayers.  

Self-Check Before You Go: Before you go, you should assess whether you may have symptoms of COVID-19 by using the CDC self-check tool. You should also avoid contact with anyone who is exhibiting symptoms.  Please note the CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. You should evaluate your risk in determining whether to attend.  Any interaction with the public poses an inherent risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed while attending the event.

Venue Details


Queen's Harbour provides its Members with the best of all worlds including the surrounding freshwater yacht basin and intracoastal waterway. The beautiful low country clubhouse, with its portico and sweeping verandas, combines Florida elegance with casual informality. Attractively positioned to overlook the lush natural surroundings and the 76-slip marina, the charming Harbour View Dining Room, The Spinnaker’s Restaurant and The Queen's Parlor and Compass Board Room accommodate the business and social needs of our Members and Guests.

Club amenities include lighted tennis courts, swimming pool, clubhouse dining, complimentary use of our private meeting and dining rooms with full-service catering and event planning and exclusive social and fun-filled family events.

You do not have to be a member to have an event at the Club. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 250 people for a reception and 180 people for a plated banquet. Recently renovated- This is not your Grandparent’s Club!
