Los Angeles County is a vast community. It’s hard to grasp a sense of community when you are in such a largely populated geographic area. However, when an organization such as the Los Angeles Mission, founded in 1936, reminds us of their ongoing work with the homeless, we become connected again with our community. This is what happened recently at the second annual S.E.E. (SoCal EdCon & Expo). Ms. Tina Russek, Gifts-In-Kind Manager for the LA Mission, drove through the brutal LA traffic from Downtown LA to speak in front of the S.E.E. general session.
