Charles Gallatin - February 2022

Charles Gallatin

By: LaChelle Evans | Apr 15, 2022

When it comes to making things happen, April’s volunteer of the month, Charles Gallatin, springs into action!

Charles has been a Texas Hill Country Chapter member for 15 years and continues to bloom in volunteer roles. He currently coordinates with committees such as Southwest Showcase and the Jingle & Mingle annual event – an event in which Charles was instrumental in getting started. He’s very passionate about this holiday event and looks forward to seeing it’s success for years to come.

Charles is the Director and Owner of ExpoTex, LLC., an Austin-based event management firm. He has assisted clients with developing and managing tradeshows, conferences, and registration, for more than 22 years. He aspires to help industry organizations weather any storm by working together successfully to make the hospitality industry stronger.

Charles resides just outside Austin in Manchaca, TX, with his sweet wife Diane of 41 years. They have two adult sons, one of which just embarked on a new beginning and got married earlier this month. Although the couple has no pets, the many deer that show up on their lawn are like their own.

Fun fact: Charles uses these longer spring days to enjoy his hobby as a Certified Ultralight Pilot. He explains that an Ultralight is basically a hang glider with a motor. His other hobbies include reading, music (mostly rock & pop), and movies. The last movie he saw in a theater was “The Batman”. Here’s to brighter days ahead with volunteers like Charles.
