Dom Powell, September 2022

The leaves are falling, and the air is cooler, but not as cool as our newest volunteer of the month: Dom Powell!  Dom moved to Austin 6 months ago and is passionate about the excitement, energy, and growth of the city.  

He moved here from College Station and joined our MPI chapter immediately and jumped in as a volunteer. He’s a sales manager for the Long Center in Austin where our chapter held our September networking event. He’s looking forward to being an active member, attending networking events, and spreading the word about all of the great spaces the Long Center has to offer for groups and events such as weddings, festivals, and full campus buyouts, all with a beautiful downtown backdrop!

Dom is a big fan of breweries, craft beer, and sports. His teams are Texas A&M and Austin FC, Listos Verde! Originally from San Antonio, Dom lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for 5 years and enjoyed it but missed the Texas sunshine. He’s a big traveler and has been to Greece and is looking forward to visiting Ireland next year. He’s visited all 30 US states and is working on making it to all 50.

We are glad to have Dom in our chapter and appreciate his volunteer contributions!
