Lisa Fall, CMP - February 2021

By: Diana Balakirov | Feb 14, 2021

Lisa’s commitment to MPI has been marked by an impressive 28 years of membership, volunteerism and leadership, starting with her service on the MPI THCC Board of Directors (BOD) -- where she has held posts on two different occasions -- and continuing with her involvement as a numerous-committee member and chair of a CMP study group. Most recently, Lisa worked alongside her peers on the Nominating Committee to review and select the upcoming 2021-2022 BOD slate, an experience that was both personally and professionally rewarding.

Outside of MPI, Lisa, a meeting planner with over three decades of experience, feels like she’s also reached the pinnacle of her career. As long as she can continue making a difference and contributing her valuable knowledge and expertise to the Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (TAHPERD) -- where she has been working as a director of conventions & meetings -- she’s willing to go the extra mile in maintaining the same level of excitement, professionalism, enthusiasm and passion in doing what she loves.

With ongoing travel restrictions in place, when it’s not always easy to plan your next vacation or even a weekend getaway, Lisa has plenty of stories to tell...and show. In what is considered to be a highlight of her life, she can recall a trip taken to New York City in the 1990s, where she attended the Grammy Awards -- staying at the renowned Waldorf Astoria hotel, nonetheless -- and witnessed history in the making during a show-opening performance given by Whitney Houston. She can also take you on a different and timeless sort of adventure altogether, one that she usually finds in an adult coloring book and draws on (literally and figuratively) as her source of therapy, relaxation and creativity.

To date, Lisa has colored over 1,500 pictures!
