Reflect - MPI WEC 2025 St. Louis

MPI World Education Congress 2025 in St. Louis was unforgettable. From the moment the opening celebration fireworks lit up Busch Stadium to the final beat dropped by Nelly at the closing party, the entire week was energetic, inspirational, and full of connection.

MPI President and CEO Paul Van Deventer opened the week by framing the entire event through a powerful lens of inclusion, impact, and global responsibility. With the resonant reminder that “When we meet, we change the world,” he challenged attendees to view our work not just as events, but as opportunities to foster understanding, build equitable communities, and drive meaningful change. 

We were moved by unforgettable keynotes. Brittany Packnett Cunningham was thought-provoking,  inspiring us to live with purpose and lead with conviction, asking us to consider what might be lost when voices go unheard—“What if the cure for cancer is trapped in the mind of someone too afraid to speak up?”  Freestyle+ featuring Freestyle Love Supreme was a masterclass in vulnerability, creativity, and the power of spontaneous storytelling - reminding us to embrace freedom of expression and push beyond our comfort zones. Temple Grandin blended humor and wisdom, challenging us to broaden our understanding of inclusion and reminding us that diverse ways of thinking are not only valuable, they’re essential to our future. And Daniel Lewis delivered a passionate, motivating talk that left us re-evaluating our personal and professional growth, asking the hard questions, and striving for more.  What energy! 

While the general sessions inspired bold ideas, the show floor was a hub of innovation and interaction.  It was also a space where industry partners shared insights, forged partnerships, and celebrated the art of what we do. (And who can forget, played with puppies!)
