MPI WEC 2026: What Happens When You Put the Right People in the Same Room

Texas Hill Country delivered. Against the backdrop of an NBA Finals–fevered San Antonio, we gathered some of the sharpest professionals in our industry for two days of education, resilience, and the kind of connection you can't manufacture on a Zoom call. This was MPI's World Education Congress 2026.

Dr. Magie Cook set the tone early. Her message on visualization, self-belief, and getting clear on your goals was the kind of thing you write on a sticky note and put on your mirror. A room of a thousand people. A movement snack. We'll leave it at that. If you know, you know.

Jon Dorenbos walked on stage and did a card trick. The room laughed. Then something shifted. What followed was one of the most powerful moments many of us have ever sat through. He unpacked resilience, the signs from the universe that redirect us, and what it looks like to land exactly where you're supposed to be. People left that room different from how they walked in. We're not sure there's a higher compliment for a keynote.

Jim Kwik reminded us that our minds are more capable than most of us have ever given them credit for. His message on using mental capacity to build deeper connections and transform how we experience our work left the room ready to think bigger. Actually bigger this time.

Lila Jones closed things out with a session on leadership and navigating change that had us laughing, reflecting, and taking notes we'll actually use. Her metaphor was built for a room full of frequent travelers: approach change the way you approach a journey. And maybe take a hard look at what you've been carrying in your bags.

The breakouts and the new CMM track didn't disappoint either. We were able to really drill down and hear directly from some of the industry's most respected voices. We learned how to be better professionals, better board members, better all around.

Between sessions, we did what MPI members do best. We found each other. Industry friends, we don't see nearly enough. The Resilience Room was a full recovery oasis, and it was exactly what it sounds like. Visit Waco brought Dr. Pepper floats. Visit San Antonio brought conchas. And Visit Galveston? Puppies.
