About the CMP

The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) program was launched in 1985 to enhance the knowledge and performance of meeting professionals, promote the status and credibility of the meeting profession and advance uniform standards of practice.

Today, the CMP credential is recognized globally as the badge of excellence in the events industry. The qualifications for certification are based on professional experience, education and a rigorous testing process.
According to recent industry studies conducted by PCMA, meeting planners who hold the CMP earn (on average) more than $10,000 annually than their non-certified counterparts. So whether you're a hotelier, supplier or meeting planner, THIS COULD BE YOU!

Current classes are on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CT for six weeks:
(Orientation on January 7)
January 21  |  January 28  |  February 4  |  February 11  |  February 18  |  February 25
(No class on January 14 )
