Organized in 1925, The Country Club of Troy is a 315-member private club nestled in the hills on the outskirts of the Capital District in Rensselaer County, NY. The club boasts a Walter Travis designed, 18-hole golf course, 5 red clay tennis courts, Olympic sized pool and platform tennis courts. The club operates 11 months a year with an active social calendar. Annual Food & Beverage revenues are approximately $1 million.

Position Description

The Country Club of Troy is seeking an individual to oversee its Dining Room areas and coordinate events. This position will be responsible for all day-to-day club dining services and events. The responsibilities of the Dining Services and Events Manager is to oversee the front of the house areas including hiring and training of staff, maintaining reservations and executing service. He/She will work with team members and other departments to assure that the member’s and guest’s expectations and experiences are exceeded and the details of events and dining are in place. Further, this individual will be responsible for the planning and execution of all member and non-member events. In addition, good communication skills will be needed to develop and communicate club events and dining services through newsletters, calendar, email blasts and other communication methods.

The successful candidate should have a degree in hospitality or event planning and must have previous supervisory experience in a fine dining or private club environment. The individual must have good organizational skills, be an effective communicator, have a good work ethic, be dependable and able to work in a high paced environment. He/She must be professional and courteous in dealing with members and staff. Knowledge of private club food & beverage operations is a plus, but not mandatory.

This is a full-time job position. Salary will be determined based on education, experience, and abilities. Other benefits include paid-time-off, health and dental insurance and limited golf/tennis privileges. Bachelor's degree and 5 plus years relevant experience is required.
