Dear MPI Upstate New York Members,
Welcome to 2025. We are grateful for your continued support and involvement with our brilliant MPI
community.
Reflecting on our shared experiences, we are reminded of why the meetings industry is flourishing and is
filled with remarkable individuals. Engaging in lively discussions at events like Coffee/Cocktails and
Connections, attending thought-provoking educational sessions, and celebrating the best in our industry
at the Gala are all testaments to the strength of our network.
Your passion for the meetings and events industry is truly inspiring. It is a pleasure to see the innovative
ideas and tireless efforts you contribute, all while fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual support.
Your willingness to share your knowledge, expertise, and personal stories has created an environment
where we can all learn and grow together.
We invite you to explore the MPI Upstate New York website and maximize your membership.
We are grateful for an amazing group of
industry leaders who have stepped up and volunteered to make
our chapter successful. We are excited about the programming and opportunities that our dynamic and
impressive 2025 Board of Directors has planned to bring us together for listening, learning, and
collaboration. However, they cannot do this alone and invite you to learn more about the committees

The success of our chapter is largely thanks to the contributions of our Immediate Past Presidents,
Wendy O'Duffy from Visit Rochester and Mary Jo Guidi from The Statler Hotel at Cornell University for 2024 and 2025, respectively. These two women continue to dedicate their time and represent our chapter at the Regional Council for the Northeast US. The phrase "Stronger Together" is often used, and it’s true. Through MPI Upstate NY, supplier and
planner members have the chance to connect, learn from each other, create meaningful meetings, and
build lasting relationships.
Thank you for being part of this creative and special community. Your involvement makes MPI Upstate New York truly unique, and I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of the magic.
Cheers,
Christine Hoffer
