Support Staff Specialist
Online Registration Specialist
This position is an integral member of the Meetings and Facilities Department located at our Latham, NY headquarters. This position works with both statewide staff, as events are planned, and NYSUT members as they register for events. This position while working independently, leads, coordinates and troubleshoots staff access to our travel hub Concur. The successful applicant will need strong communication skills, experience with Concur or equal travel tool, knowledge of Cvent or equal online registering tool, Office 365, basic HTML, basic accounting . Work independently with minimal supervision referring only exceptions to management for resolution. The successful applicant will have
experience in event and planning software for multiple and at times simultaneous large, small and high profile events. Extensive customer service skills, a high level of professionalism and willingness to handle all registration and administrative details for external and internal program meetings and events.

Duties:
• Demonstrate excellent process and project management skills to flawlessly execute registration
plans for simultaneous events
• Well versed in event and travel planning logistics
• Assist with staff travel reservation access and issues
• CVent event software administrator
• Audit invoices for events and staff travel
• Customer oriented with ability to anticipate needs for the events
• Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
• Creative with ability to develop original solutions to problems
• Willingness to work collaboratively with internal and external departments and groups
• Coordinate ground transportation to NYSUT events or rallies
• Other duties as assigned
Experience:
• Degree or experience in Hotel/hospitality programs or a travel related field preferred
• Hospitality industry experience or Certified Travel Counselor preferred
• Cvent and Concur administrator experience preferred
• Some extended work hours
• Experience with Outlook, Office 365 including Excel and Word
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage work load, and accomplish goals and objectives
• Demonstrated written and communications skills, and commitment to excellence and accuracy
