Scholarships are the core of your foundation’s ongoing contribution to complement MPI membership, education and career opportunities. With these scholarships, together, we move this community and our global industry towards critical recovery. Whether you just started your career or you’re an industry vet, the MPI Foundation assists those that share the same commitment and passion to professional excellence. Scholarships are governed by the Global Board of Trustees with oversight conducted by the Grants & Scholarship Committee.

Current Scholarship Opportunities
EMEC Barcelona Scholarships
MPI Foundation offers scholarships for MPI members to attend EMEC Barcelona in 2026. Scholarships cover registration and include a 700 euro post-conference reimbursement of travel/accommodations to Barcelona. Scholarships cannot be combined with other programs like hosted buyer, and cannot be used with registrations already paid.

Sales AI Certificate Scholarships for DMO/CVB Professionals
If you are a professional employed by a destination marketing organization (DMO) or convention and visitors bureau (CVB), Digital Edge invites you to apply for a scholarship to take MPI Academy's Sales AI Certificate! Scholarship applications will be responded to in February, 2026.
Natural Disaster and Hardship Relief Scholarships
The MPI Foundation, in partnership with MPI, will be helping to cover costs related to membership dues, professional development, or participation in events, ensuring that our members can continue to engage with the MPI community even during difficult times.
Discover Puerto Rico HMCC Scholarships
HMCC Scholarships are available for MPI planner members to take an HMCC course free of charge! Applicants will be contacted in the month after they apply.
A Note About MPI Foundation Scholarship Applications
MPI Foundation applications have moved to an updated applicant portal. The new portal will make your application process much easier. In the new portal, you will be required to set up a new account. Once you set up your new account, you will be able to access the application.
